Science Vocabulary

Five activities on one unit's word list. Every one works on this screen or on paper — both count. Nothing a student does leaves their computer unless they tap Send.

The word list

Five ways into the same fifteen words

A vocabulary list is not learned by being read. It is learned by being matched, taken apart, used in a sentence, put on a picture, and grouped with the words it belongs beside. That is what these five do — the same fifteen words, five different jobs.

The fifteen words

Straight from the unit's own student page, word for word. Every one of them is taught inside an activity — this is only so you can see them all in one place, and so the list prints.

Run these on your own word list

Paste your list below and the activities that can honestly run it will pick it up on this computer. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is shared — it is stored in this browser, next to the student work, and the same Erase everything button removes it.

word | part of speech | what it means | a sentence with the word as ___ | group

The last two are optional. What you give decides which activities can run: the meaning is enough for Match the Meaning; a sentence adds Say It in a Sentence; a group adds Which One Doesn't Belong. Build the Word and Picture It stay on this unit's words, because they need each word's own pieces and its own picture — and they will say so on screen rather than run half of themselves.

    For the teacher

Eight items, three sets, on every activity.

    Independent, supported, hints, confidence.

    1

Send a link, get a row back.

    2

    A bare link stays private.

    3

Your own list is a per-computer thing.
